hari ni kelas microbe yang 6hours dengan break 5 minutes buat kepala aku jam...dah la aku hanya makan energy bar sikit and gula-gula halls untuk hilangkan ngantuk...huhuhu.....biasanya kelas microbe habis awal dari biasa tapi hari ni terlewat sejam pulak..adoyaiiii...~

actually today we discuss about nasocomial infection which means infection that happen in hospital...how health care workers and anyone staying in hospital (patients) are expose to infection...we as health care workers are always liable to get infected by bacteria infection,virus infection and also fungal infection... that's why every hospital should have an infection control(IC) program designated to prevent acquisition of infection.these infections are maybe mild,moderate and sometimes even can cause death....

we talked about the what kind of infection that can be happen,how the transmission and the precaution that we have to take to prevent the exposure and transmission...even we learned how to wash our hand in right way...

tiba-tiba teringat pulak time buat attachment kat hospital k.terngganu last year....that time,i dont know anything....why i have to wear a mask? i thought just coz of h1n1,but actually not only H1N1,but also due to nasocomial infection that may infect us...and some disease maybe transmitted by air..for more serious diseases like TB,chicken pox,measles patient should be isolated in negative pressure room and person who want to enter the room must wearing mask..

besides,hand hygiene is very important..especially we,as a health worker we have to wash our hand immediately before and after touching patient,before aseptic technique(handling medication),after touching patient surroundings,after touching blood,body fluids or items contaminated with them and also after remove glove...

why we have wash our hand after remove our glove?doesn't wearing glove can prevent direct contact to the patient and specimen?so,logically we are protected when we wearing glove isn't?

but we forget that when we wearing glove,that means temperature in the glove will increase and automatically sweat will be produced...so,this is a good condition for bacteria multiplication...
so,bacteria at our hand will increase and that why we have to wash our hand even after wearing glove to eliminate this transient bacteria..

end of the story......dah malas nak taip panjang-panjang....lain masa la...

sebenarnya banyak nak kongsi pasal ilmu medik ni kat blog,tapi tak berkesempatan lagi la...setiap kali balik dari kelas hati membuak-buak nak tulis pasal ape yang aku belajar..tapi kekangan masa yang aku ada tak mengizinkan...so,hari ni just dapat share pasal nasocomial infection and hand hygiene...benda ni nampak mudah dan selalu jer diambil mudah oleh sesetengah pihak.....

so,pesanan aku,jangan lupa basuh tangan sentiasa~dan kalau ke hospital tu,sila lah berhati-hati kerana mungkin anda akan ter'infected....
